Here is what a few of our past participants have said:
“Next Act is an awesome improvisational intensive. You will learn so much not only from instructors, but also from other improvisers across Canada. In only a few days, you will be left with new skills, new abilities, and new friendships that you will never forget.”
- Kevin Pinkoski, Edmonton
“A supportive and inspiring festival of whittling up on your impulses, breaking comfort zones and sharing a mind with an extraordinary collection of people. We found games, offers, and gifts in the rear view mirror, and felt scenes grow and fall in place because of the confidence we could consign in everyone’s decisions. Oh, and there was laser tag.”
- Martin Tonner, Halifax
“An incredible festival that stuffed my brain with a healthy balanced breakfast of: new improvisational knowledge, great performance experience, and fun memories with young talented improvisers! And for lunch we had pizza.”
- Haley Guest, Halifax
“I made connections with improvisers from across Canada. I feel like we truly bonded and that these are friends I will remember forever. A really refreshing troupe feel. Truly joyful.”
- Mike Fardy, St John’s
“The Next Act Festival is an incredible opportunity for young improvisors to receive world-class instruction, challenge themselves creatively and to form lasting friendships and professional connections with their peers from all across the country.”
- Nick Harvey Cheetham, Vancouver
