Tri-City Regional Program

Welcome to the Tri-City Regional Canadian Improv Games Program!

Originally established in Waterloo in 2001, The Tri-City Regional Program now covers Kitchener, Guelph, Windsor, Grimsby as well as Waterloo.   As part of a national network of regional teams that join the Canadian Improv Games through their local high school, students gain access to a number of exciting and unique programs that encourage exploring the art of improv, learning life skills like Positivity, Communication, Leadership, Commitment and Teamwork, making new friends and having fun.

For more information, to register your high school in our program or to get involved as a volunteer, player or coach, please contact Regional Director Jay Reid at

In addition to being member of the Canadian Improv Games’ National Artistic Committee, Jay is a co-founder of The Making-Box — Guelph, Ontario’s award-winning hub for live comedy and improv education. Here Jay spends most of his time facilitating, studying, performing, marketing, organizing and transforming the world through improv-related activities for individuals and businesses. The Making-Box has been nominated for Innovation Guelph’s Start-Up Of The Year (2016) and The Guelph Chamber of Commerce: Community Spirit Award (2016) and Jay himself has been awarded one of Guelph’s Top 40 Under 40 awards.
