Welcome to the Winnipeg Regional Canadian Improv Games Program!
Established in 1995, the Winnipeg program is part of a national network of regional teams that join the Canadian Improv Games through their local high school. During the school year, students gain access to a number of exciting and unique programs that encourage exploring the art of improv, learning life skills like Positivity, Communication, Leadership, Commitment and Teamwork, making new friends and having fun.
For more information, to register your high school in our 2018 program or to get involved as a volunteer, player or coach, please contact Regional Producers George Hudson and Erin Meagan Schwartz at email@example.com
Regional Producers, George Hudson & Erin Meagan Schwartz
George Hudson has worked with the CIG for over 5 years after being a player in the league in High school. His passion for improv has led him to do many things, including run the kitchen at Improv camp for the last 6 years. He has been a member of the Dungeons and Dragons Improv show in Winnipeg since 2009, and jumps on any chance to perform in local shows!
Erin Meagan Schwartz has been with the CIG since 2009. Since then, she has spent time in the kitchen at Improv Camp, done research on gender in Improv in her academic studies, and performed with her improv troupe The Neighbourhood Watch. Erin uses improv as a skill to develop immersive and interactive performance. They love being a witness to players committing and creating together.

CIG Winnipeg Fun Fact: In Manitoba there is a STRONG tradition of everyone yelling “OCHO” at the end of each countdown. This has been happening for 17 years and the legend of why is nearly lost to history.
